“How much will it cost?” is the question I hear on every call. I can’t give an exact figure without seeing the document, but I can explain what the price is made of, so you can estimate it in advance.
The price is per standard page, not per sheet of paper
A standard page has 1,800 characters including spaces. A dense text on one sheet can be two standard pages, a short certificate only a fraction of one. That is why I always give you the exact price in advance, within 24 hours of receiving a photo of your document.
My price: from €20 per standard page
Fees of sworn translators in Slovakia are regulated by a decree of the Ministry of Justice. I charge from €20 per standard page.
When the price goes up
- Urgent deadline: if you need the translation “by tomorrow”, a surcharge applies. I tell you the amount before I start.
- Complex or specialised text: medical reports, technical or legal documents take more time and terminology checks.
- Colour printing or extra copies of the translation.
Any surcharge is always agreed in advance. It never appears for the first time on the invoice.
